Juvenile Restorative Justice & Family Intervention Initiative - The Path to Facilitating RJ Through Approved Mediation Centers
The Nebraska Office of Dispute Resolution, in coordination with the network of approved mediation centers, is offering a limited number of scholarships covering 100% of the registration fee for Basic Mediation Training. This scholarship program is designed to support and increase the diversity and inclusion of mediators and restorative justice (RJ) facilitators throughout the state.
- If you are interested in training to be a mediator and/or RJ Facilitator (mediation training is a requirement to be an RJ facilitator with an approved center), fill out the application below for a scholarship to attend an online Basic Mediation Training at no cost to you.
- Completed applications will be forwarded to the approved mediation center(s) with whom you indicate a desire to work. Center(s) may require an interview prior to providing a scholarship to the Basic Mediation Training.
- Selections and notifications of acceptance or deferral will be made at least one week prior to the training dates via email.
This training is scheduled to take place from 10am - 12pm MST / 11am - 1pm CST on the following Mondays in August via an instructor-led online platform:

There will also be required small group work between the live training sessions Small group leaders will schedule sessions with the group. This training will be a total of 30 hours including the live training session, small group work, and individual work.
